Mshana (Chris) is a public health specialist with more than 15 years of management experience. He has extensive experience with project matrix design, budgeting, implementation, and evaluation of various public health interventions. He has a proven track record of implementing public health projects to increase demand for and access to malaria prevention and treatment, tuberculosis treatment, and health funding. For more than 15 years, he has had extensive expertise dealing with USAID-funded programs and local government bodies (LGAs).
He worked as a Research Scientist/Social Marketing Manager for the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) for 10 years. He developed his exceptional expertise and abilities in designing and implementing Social and Behavior Change and developing a wide range of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials.
Since 2015, he has worked for Abt Associates Inc. in Tanzania as a Project Specialist/Regional Coordinator on various US President's Malaria Initiative (PMI) vector control projects. He deployed his expertise in guaranteeing a robust Indoor Residual Spray (IRS) campaign through effective planning, budgeting, implementation, and oversight at the regional level.
