Gaudence Juma Rutta

Environmental, Safety, and Vector Control Expert

BSc Environmental Science and Management, MSc Environmental Technology and Management, Mosquito Ecology and Control and Environmental Governance

Rutta (Gaudence) is Malaria control expert, Environmental Management Specialist and Academia with over 16 years’ experience in the areas of Public Health, Environmental Management and Academia

Gaudence has proven record in implementing the Vector Control projects with the aim of reducing malaria vectors, as well as sound environmental knowledge which was key in ensuring environmental sustainability. Also, over the years he has contributed much to pollution control by managing environmental management systems of Cement plant hence reducing the carbon footprint from the Manufacturing industry. Apart from that he also contributed to developing skills of upcoming environmental managers especially in the area of environmental management.

Since 2008 to April 2023, Gaudence has worked in USAID supported projects (RTI International – TVCSP; Abt Associates – AIRS Project and PMI VectorLink Projects in various capacity as Environmental Manager, Team Leader, Zonal Manager and Operations Manager (Project Manager).

  • Coordination’s of experts and lay persons in ensuring project delivery in any undertaking.
  • Environnemental Management System Implémentation & Audit.
  • Environmental Control and Monitoring of Aspects and Impacts.
  • Detailed Project Design, Planning, implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation and Project Closure (Project Cycle Management).
  • Working with LGA and USAID supported NGO to ensure service delivery to the communities.
  • Work Plans formulation and Budgeting.
