In January 2024, THEDI and Bridge2Aid (B2A) held a successful two-day joint strategic planning meeting at the Tilapia Hotel in Mwanza. The session focused on orienting both teams toward the proposed ORAL HEALTH PROJECT, titled “Improving Access to Oral Healthcare, Education and Promotion among Underserved Populations in Six Districts, Mwanza - Tanzania: A Comprehensive Approach.”
The meeting served as a vital platform for collaboration, enabling both organizations to fully align their strategic project documents. Key outcomes included the finalization of the project proposal, detailed action plans, a robust Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) matrix, and clearly defined project milestones. This synchronization ensures that both teams are working toward a unified vision for oral health equity in the region.
With the planning phase complete, the meeting provided the official green light to kick off the project's implementation.
Operations will begin in the Misungwi District, which has been selected as the pilot site. This initial phase will set the stage for expanding comprehensive oral healthcare, education, and promotion services across the remaining five districts in Mwanza.
